Java Technical Architect

About the Opportunity:
BHR Code is hiring a seasoned Java Technical Architect for an exciting banking domain project with one of our esteemed client partners. This role is a critical individual contributor position, with some team management responsibilities, requiring deep expertise in Java backend architecture, TDD, and microservices security.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a Technical Architect and Java expert within a BFSI environment.
Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and secure microservices.
Ensure Test-Driven Development (TDD) best practices and hands-on coding.
Take 80% ownership as an individual contributor, with 20% in mentoring/junior oversight.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture decisions with business goals.
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and performance optimizations.

Must-Have Skills:
Java (expert-level)
Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture
Security-focused development within Microservices
Test-Driven Development (TDD) – Strong hands-on coding experience is mandatory
BFSI domain exposure is highly preferred
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
