Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SD-WAN Cisco Viptela Consultant with hands-on expertise in managing enterprise network infrastructures across global locations. This role involves end-to-end network device implementation, administration, and support, focusing on Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) and related routing and switching technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and manage Wipro’s global LAN & WAN infrastructure as part of the Global Network Project Implementation Team.
Implement and configure network devices including Routers, Switches, Wi-Fi devices, and NMS tools from Cisco and occasionally from other OEMs (Avaya, Brocade, etc.).
Execute configurations based on network hardening guidelines and project-specific requirements.
Set up secure connectivity including MPLS, Client-to-Site VPN, and Site-to-Site VPN.
Lead ODC (Offshore Delivery Center) setups and handle point-to-point and multi-site connectivity initiatives.
Coordinate with ISPs, clients, and onsite teams for link setups and connectivity issue resolution.
Validate network design plans and advise on technical feasibility and improvements.
Work with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), MPLS/VRF, Switching protocols (STP), QoS, and other L2/L3 technologies.
Adhere to ISO 20000 & 27001, and Wipro IRMC guidelines for incident, change, and capacity management.
Skills & Qualifications:
✅ Must-Have:
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) – 5+ years
Expertise in Routing Protocols – OSPF, BGP
Experience with MPLS configuration (VRF)
Proficiency in LAN/WAN architecture, VPNs, and internet setups
Working knowledge of NMS tools and enterprise networking devices
Strong troubleshooting and implementation skills
Excellent communication and coordination skills
✅ Certifications:
CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or equivalent required
Nice-to-Have:
Exposure to non-Cisco vendors (Avaya, Brocade, etc.)
Experience with ISO process-driven environments
Understanding of ITIL processes
