Senior SAP ABAP Programmer – ETO Manufacturing

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior SAP ABAP Programmer with a solid engineering background and deep expertise in Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining custom SAP solutions that address the complex requirements of project-based manufacturing environments. This role demands a hands-on professional who can work collaboratively across functional teams and lead development efforts within SAP ECC and S/4HANA platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain custom SAP RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
Collaborate with functional consultants across FICO, MM, SD, PP, and PS to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Deliver ETO-specific ABAP solutions such as WBS-based procurement, project costing, and order tracking workflows.
Support SAP S/4HANA migration activities, including adaptation and optimization of custom code.
Create and manage OData services and develop applications using SAP Fiori/UI5.
Perform advanced debugging, code optimization, and performance tuning.
Ensure alignment with SAP development best practices and organizational standards.
Participate in unit testing, code reviews, and provide technical support during integration and UAT phases.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and deliver training to support teams as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Educational Background: B.Tech./M.Tech. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, with at least 3 full-cycle implementations in ETO manufacturing environments.
Strong expertise in:
Classical and Object-Oriented ABAP
ALV Reports, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework
CDS Views, AMDP
SAP Fiori/UI5 development
Deep understanding of ETO manufacturing processes, especially Project Systems (PS) and WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) integration.
Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
Exposure to SAP Workflow, Adobe Forms, and Web Dynpro
Familiarity with SAP BTP, Cloud Integration, or API Management
Experience working in Agile environments and using DevOps tools for SAP development lifecycle
