Microsoft Dynamics 365 Senior Engineer

Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Senior Developer with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) to join our team. This role requires hands-on experience in developing and customizing enterprise-grade solutions using X++, managing data entities, and delivering robust integrations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain customizations and extensions in D365 F&O using X++.
Implement and manage integrations using data entities, REST APIs, and other standard methods.
Participate in end-to-end solution design, including technical architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization.
Work closely with functional consultants to translate functional specs into technical requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in custom modules and standard D365 features.
Manage and maintain technical documentation for developments and integrations.
Support system upgrades, patching, and testing related to custom code and integrations.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and Microsoft standards.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance of deployed solutions.

Required Technical Skills:
Strong experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations development.
Proficiency in X++ programming language and extension-based development.
Solid understanding of data entities, tables, classes, forms, and workflows in D365 F&O.
Hands-on experience with D365 integrations, including REST APIs and third-party connectors.
Familiarity with Lifecycle Services (LCS) for environment management and deployment support.
Knowledge of D365 security model, including role-based access control and permissions.
Experience in performance tuning and debugging within the D365 environment.

Preferred Skills:
Exposure to Microsoft Azure (for integration-related use cases).
Experience with code upgrade projects from AX 2012 to D365 F&O (preferred but not required).
Strong communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and business users.
Microsoft Certification: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate (preferred).
Experience working in Agile or hybrid environments.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
7–10 years of IT experience with 3–5 years focused on D365 F&O development.
Proven experience delivering technical solutions in large-scale ERP implementations.
Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
