Java Lead (BFSI)

About the Opportunity
BHR Code is hiring Java Leads (MFA) for a strategic client partner in the Banking and Financial Services Industry (BFSI). You’ll be working onsite at our end client’s offices in Chennai or Bangalore. This is a high-visibility, mission-critical role involving Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) system integration and robust microservice-based backend development on cloud-native platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a development team to deliver high-quality software on time.
Drive the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-grade solutions with strong MFA capabilities.
Develop and integrate identity and access management (IAM) and MFA features within the application.
Work hands-on with technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and Oracle.
Troubleshoot issues, debug complex scenarios, and drive root cause analysis.
Collaborate with DevOps to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
Ensure high performance, security, and availability of systems.
Provide regular updates and status reports to project leads.

Must-Have Skills
Strong hands-on in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices
In-depth experience with MFA concepts and tools
Cloud-native experience using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
Database expertise in Oracle/SQL including stored procedures and tuning
Solid knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Additional Good-to-Have Skills
Helm / Containerization strategies
Shell scripting on Linux, and strong Linux fundamentals
GitLab CI/CD pipeline creation and Git Flow understanding
Monitoring tools like Splunk, DX-APM, and application observability setup
Maven/Gradle for build automation
Networking basics, security practices, and performance monitoring

Ideal Candidate Profile
10+ years of experience in backend enterprise development
Minimum 7–9 years of strong, relevant Java and microservices experience
Proven experience leading development teams in an Agile environment
BFSI domain background is a strong plus
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities
