Mainframe & Midrange Services Engineer

Job Summary
BHR Code is hiring experienced Mainframe & Midrange Services Engineers to support enterprise infrastructure environments, batch operations, platform administration, and automation initiatives.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience across Linux, Windows, Mainframe operations, Connect: Direct, batch agent configuration, infrastructure automation, and enterprise production support.

Role Overview
The Mainframe & Midrange Services Engineer will be responsible for managing and supporting enterprise mainframe and midrange infrastructure environments.
The role requires hands-on experience in platform administration, batch operations, troubleshooting, high availability, disaster recovery, and infrastructure automation.
The candidate will collaborate with application, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure reliable and efficient enterprise service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and support Mainframe and Midrange infrastructure environments.
Perform Linux and Windows administration activities.
Configure and support Connect:Direct file transfer environments.
Manage batch agent configurations and scheduled operations.
Troubleshoot production incidents and infrastructure issues.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Support security controls and infrastructure compliance activities.
Manage load balancing, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR) activities.
Perform mainframe navigation and operational support.
Implement automation using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Python.
Work with GitHub repositories and REST API integrations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for enterprise operations.

Mandatory Skills
7–12+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure environments.
