OpenText Intelligent Capture (OTIC) Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
Install and set up the OpenText Intelligent Capture (OTIC) platform in a client-server environment.
Configure and deploy Remote Scan Stations to support distributed scanning operations for end users.
Design and develop batch classes, templates, and forms in accordance with business requirements.
Implement and fine-tune:
Extraction methods
Classification logic
Validation rules
Document separation logic
to ensure accurate and efficient data capture across varied document types.
Lead or support migration efforts from legacy capture systems such as Kofax Total Agility (KTA) to OTIC.
Build and configure export connectors, ensuring seamless integration with downstream systems such as:
OpenText Content Server
SAP
Other ECM or ERP platforms
Monitor, analyze, and resolve production issues related to document capture workflows, system performance, and data processing.

Technical Skills Required:
Hands-on expertise with OpenText Intelligent Capture (OTIC) or OpenText Captiva.
Strong understanding of document capture technologies, including OCR/ICR engines like ABBYY, Tesseract, etc.
Experience configuring and optimizing modules for:
Recognition
Classification
Validation
Export
Document Routing
Proficient in scripting with VBScript or JavaScript within OTIC for implementing advanced capture logic.
Solid grasp of batch class design, capture workflows, and template-based automation in OTIC.
Working knowledge of SQL Server or Oracle with ability to write and optimize basic queries.
Familiarity with web services/APIs for third-party system integration and automation.
