Kafka Engineer

Job Summary
BHR Code is hiring experienced Kafka Engineers with strong expertise in Apache Kafka, event streaming platforms, cloud infrastructure, automation, and container technologies.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab Pipelines, and Shell Scripting while supporting enterprise-scale streaming data platforms.

Role Overview
The Kafka Engineer will be responsible for designing, managing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise Kafka environments.
The role requires strong knowledge of event streaming architecture, Kafka platform administration, deployment automation, cloud-native technologies, and production support.
The candidate will collaborate with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-performing streaming platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and support enterprise Apache Kafka environments.
Configure, maintain, and monitor Kafka clusters.
Perform Kafka deployment, upgrades, and operational activities.
Monitor Kafka performance, availability, and reliability.
Troubleshoot Kafka platform issues and production incidents.
Manage event streaming workflows and integrations.
Support containerized Kafka environments.
Work with Kubernetes-based deployments.
Automate operational activities using Terraform and Ansible.
Manage CI/CD workflows through GitLab Pipelines.
Develop and maintain Shell scripts for automation.
Perform root cause analysis and implement improvements.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams.
Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Mandatory Skills
7–12+ years of experience in enterprise technology environments.
